Yup! The accepted wisdom in Israel was that no government coalition could or would ever be put together without the "Ultra Orthodox" political parties.

Whether we were "for it" or "against it". It's what we all believed. It couldn't happen. And it happened. And the sky didn't fall down. YIKES?!!
